Global Civilization in Moving

We are all aware that our world is undergoing an important transition. If in the industrial era 'time was money' with its stress on the material, today it can be said that 'knowledge is power'.This emphasis on the immaterial carries with it a profound ability to create a new world and changes imply for our global civilization?

In a service economy (which now represents two-thirds or more of all economic activity in developed economies), it is information, knowledge, and the ability to relate with other people which come to the fore. This 'soft product' means we have to approach the world with a broader perspective, with a different mode of thinking, and with more sensitivity and wisdom in order to be successful. This approach necessitates more discussion and consultation, less hierarchy, and more cooperation. The metamorphosis we are witnessing draws upon the traditional virtues and strengths of humanity as a positive force for social change and cultural development. It enriches the human spirit and assists in promoting the diversity and variety of the human experience on the planet.
